David was the best teacher and friend I could have asked for. His memories will last for a life time. I hope I can share the wisdom to my family as he shared with me. There's been so many life tips he's given me and I'm so grateful I've met him and had him in my life
David was a favorite teacher of mine. When I was in high school and going through one of the toughest times in my life, he was a guiding force that helped me. I am very saddened to hear of his passing. My condolences to his loved ones. He was a great man.
David Schmor helped me prepare for speaking at my high school graduation. He was helpful and gave good guidance to me as a student. I am quite sure that he was one of the teachers who inspired me to become first a communications major in college and later an English language arts teacher. Thank you, David. My heart goes out to your family.
I had him for a school teacher and he was a great teacher who took his time to teach and his door was always open if you need help or someone to talk to. They don't make teacher like him. He is going be miss.RIP
I first met David as a senior at Medford Senior High School in 1976. He was a student teacher with DeVere Taylor the rock star debate coach in the state at the time (yes.... hard to believe, but I was a brief case, evidence box carrying nerd)! I became a Spanish teacher at St. Helens High School in 1982. David’s room was only doors down the hall from mine. I immediately recognized him. During the mid to late 80’s David would come to our house three or four evenings a week after dinner for coffee and conversation. As our family grew (we have four children) the time for leisurely time after dinner disappeared. We had begun to renew that relationship. Rest, my friend!
