David Michael "Mike" Shackelford's Obituary
David “Mike” Shackelford of Warren, Oregon passed away December 1, 2019 at the age of 80. He was born May 13, 1939 in Portland, Oregon to James and Gwen (Blomquist) Shackelford. He attended school and lived in Portland for many years, he served in the United States Army as a paratrooper in the late 50s before being honorably discharged. Mike later moved to Warren, Oregon in the early 90s, he worked many years for Multnomah Plywood in St. Helens, Oregon.
On July 11, 1994 he married Carol Frigaard, together they enjoyed traveling to the beach to go beach combing and taking trips to Eastern Oregon to view the wildlife. Mike was an avid bowler, with over a 200 average and a perfect game it was something he truly loved doing.
He is survived by his wife Carol Shackelford of Warren, OR; his children from his first marriage, daughter Laurie A. Wild and son Michael P. (Connie) Shackelford all of Portland, OR; his brothers Jim Shackelford of Portland, OR and Larry Shackelford of San Diego, CA; two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A viewing will be held Sunday, December 8, 2019 at 11AM at Columbia Funeral Home in St. Helens, OR with a graveside service to follow at Bethany Memorial Cemetery in Warren, OR at 2PM.
