Dawn's Nicheside Inurnment Services will be held, 3:30 PM, Friday, June 11th at Columbia Memorial Gardens, Scappoose, Oregon.
Dawn Lee Smith died suddenly at age 56 in her parents home in Scappoose Oregon on Saturday June 5th 2010.
Dawn was born to Donald Paul Smith and Mary Patricia Hoagland Smith on October 14, 1953 in Bakersfield California. She was the only sister of five brothers. She spent most of her youth in Idaho but moved with her family in October of 1969 to Oregon where she attended and graduated from Scappoose High School. After high school she worked as a clerk for Fred Meyers in Portland for 2 years. She moved back to Scappoose and worked for the local St. Helens hospital as a ward clerk. She then moved back to Portland, married Sam Smith and together they lived in the Saint Johns area for twenty years while raising a family.
Dawn loved her family, friend's horses, turtles, the outdoors, cooking, gardening and was a hard worker. She seem to be happiest when she was doing things for others. She stayed close to several of her high school friends.
Dawn was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints.
Dawn is survived by her husband Sam Smith and three sons Corey, Sammy, and Noah. Her mother Pat Stimpson, step father Chuck Stimpson. Siblings Mike Smith, Robert Smith, Dennis Smith, Scott Smith, Danny Smith.
She was predeceased by her father Donald Paul Smith and adopted father Harold B. Smith.
Dawn will be greatly missed by the many people whose lives she touched with her sweat and generous spirit.
