Dawna Mae McDonald's Obituary
Dawna Mae McDonald was born on September 1, 1921 in Jamestown, N. Dakota to William & MaudeMorgan Kindall.
She died on March 6, 2006 in St. Helens at the age of 84.
She was the 3rd child of six. Her grandmother came from France and was an opera singer. She grew up in a large landmark home in Jamestown. She enjoyed writing, art and home economics in school. She learned to sew so well that she taught sewing to other students and made clothing for the school principle.
She married Bill McDonald on March 1, 1943 in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death in 1993. They lived in Billings, MT. where 3 of thier children where born and a fourth in Spokane, WA. where they moved in 1950. They lived in Portland and moved to San Francisco in 1963. She was a homemaker all of her life and a beautiful seamstress. She loved the family and was married for 50 years.
They raised 2 daughters: Natrona Jacobs, of Rainier, OR.; Dawna Lewis of Modesto, CA., 2 sons: Fallon McDonald of Daly City, CA. & William McDonald preceded her in death in 2005. a sister: Darliene McDonald of Eden Prairie, MN.
