Delaurice Irene Grams' Obituary
Delaurice Irene Grams born February 16, 1921 in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota to Lydia and Edwin Gluth. She passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family members on October 1, 2014.
She married Edwin Grams in 1941. In 1956 they moved their family to Oregon City, Oregon. In 1970, they moved to Scappoose, Oregon where she worked at the Candle Factory and Steinfeld’s for many years.
They joined the St. Helens Elks Lodge and she was a member of the Rebekahs. She was also very active in her church and she especially loved taking care of the children, touching the lives of three generations.
Delaurice was preceded in death by infant son Gary, husband Edwin, daughter Ruth and son Roger.
She is survived by her loving children Patricia Tomlin (Terry), Robert Grams, LuAnn Zimmerman (Jerry), and Ronald Grams. Also surviving her is 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
The family would also like to acknowledge our soul sister Dawn (Annen) Bull for her compassion; love and time spent in prayer with her “Ma”. The family would also like to thank the wonderful staff of Spring Meadows Assisted Living and awesome caregivers from Legacy Hospice for their care during her final days.
A public viewing will be held at Columbia Funeral Home in St. Helens on Friday, October 10, 2014 from 1-5pm. Services will be held at Grace Lutheran Church in Scappoose on Saturday,
October 11, 2014 at 1pm followed by a celebration of her life in the fellowship hall of the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that you give a donation to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in her name.
