Dennis Eugene Hickethier's Obituary
Dennis Eugene Hickethier (68) passed away, unexpectedly, in a trucking accident on February 6th, 2023. He was born March 22nd, 1954 in Portland, OR to Lloyd and Louise Hickethier. He spent most of his life in the Portland area. Dennis owned and operated a landscaping business for many years, before switching to a career in trucking. He was an artist when it came to landscape design. A mechanic at heart, he could work on and operate just about anything with an engine. Always an adventurer he loved to participate in any activity he could. Motorcycles, biking, hiking, waterskiing, snow skiing, snowshoeing, camping and countless others. He was never short on corny dad jokes or an opportunity to make anyone laugh.
He loved his children and grandchildren more than anything in the world and they loved him. Dennis is survived by his four children Shelly Carver, Stacey Page, Steven Hickethier and Alysandra Grey (formerly Sandra Hickethier). As well as his four grandchildren Ruxin Page, Quentin Page, Rayanne Carver and Shelton Carver. Also, his two sisters Cheryl Hickethier, Jeannie Miller and many cousins and friends. He was taken too soon and will be missed greatly by many.
There will be a memorial for Dennis at Hood View Seventh Day Adventist Church on February 19th at 2 pm. It is a celebration of Dennis’ life. If you would like to bring a picture, a quote, bible verse or some sort of memory of him to share, there will be a memory board to post to. Please wear bright clothing as this is a celebration of his life. His favorite color was red.
