Diana May Harrington
October 29, 1932 ~ March 22, 2015
Diana (Di) May Harrington (Hallett), 82, passed away peacefully early Sunday, March 22, 2015 with family at her side in Portland, Oregon.
Born in Worcester, England October 29, 1932; Di was the eldest of ten children to Edward and Ethel Hallett.
Di met and married the love of her life, Neil Harrington on November 21, 1953, while he was stationed with the US Air Force in England. In 1955, Neil was discharged from service and she moved to the United States where they eventually settled in Oregon.
Di was an avid gardener who loved knitting, sewing, cooking, bowling, a good Nora Roberts book, and of course a nice cup of tea. She was the heart of her family whom always made sure everyone knew just how much they were loved. She will forever have a deep and lasting impact in her loved ones lives and future.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Neil, son Steven, daughter Cyndi (Joe) Allen; grandchildren Stephanie, Lyndsey, Jeffrey, Sarah, and Elizabeth; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son Glenn Harrington in 1972.
Private Family Graveside services for her family will be held at Columbia Memorial Gardens.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Village Inn Banquet Room in St. Helens, Oregon.
