Dominic Sante Valpiani's Obituary
Dominic Sante Valpiani was born on June 16, 1917 in Clatskanie, Oregon to Pasquino & Elena Medici Valpiani.
He died in a Portland hospital on November 28, 2007 at the age of 90.
He went to college receiving a Bachelors degree at the U. of Oregon. He was a captain in the Army from 6/9/41 to 3/16/46. He was stationed in several areas in Europe, the Phillipines and Canada.
He married Florence Fisher in 1948, she preceded him in death on August 16, 1999.
Other than the Army & College he lived his life here in Columbia County.
He was a Millwright for Boise Cascade for 20 years, retiring in 1978.
He was a member of St. Frederic Catholic Church where he was active in the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed fishing and taught at Portland Community College.
Survivors include: Sons: Sante & Judy Valpiani; Tim Valpiani both of St. Helens; 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Roger in 1995.

Funeral Mass: 12:00 Noon, Mon. 12/3/07
Both at St. Frederic Catholic Church-St. Helens.
Committal service & crypt entombment: Columbia Memorial Gardens Mausoleum-Scappoose, OR.
