Dominick F. Scotto's Obituary
Dominick F. Scotto was born on August 17, 1921 in Brooklyn, New York to Salvatore & Maria Della(Porta) Scotto.
He died at his home in St. Helens on January 23, 2014 at the age of 92.
Dominick was educated in Brooklyn, New York graduating in 1939. He was in the Army during WWII from October 20, 1942 until his discharge on February 24, 1945. He met Anna Opulente and they were married in Brooklyn, New York on April 9, 1946.
They lived in Brooklyn where he started as a mail carrier in 1948, they lived there until moving to St. Helens in 1957 and have lived here since. He retired on January 3, 1984.
He was a member of St. Frederic Catholic Church. Dominick loved family, singing, eating Italian food and reading.
Survivors include: Daughters: Christine Gainer of Warren; Lisa Domenighini of St. Helens; Sons: Jeff Scotto of Portland; Salvatore Scotto of Vernonia; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
Viewing & Visitation: 9-5 & Recitation of The Rosary: 7:00 PM both Thursday at Columbia Funeral Home Mass of Christian Burial: Friday, January 31, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. Frederic Catholic Church. Committal Service & Vault Interment: Columbia Memorial Gardens Cemetery-Scappoose.
