My heartfelt prayers and deepest sympathy go out to Jan and the family during this difficult time. I first met Don during my years as a bank manager with Wells Fargo, and our connection quickly grew into a genuine friendship. When our family moved to Scappoose, we later discovered we had purchased our property from Don’s uncle—a coincidence that brought our paths together even more. Don visited the ranch often, and he and my husband Gary shared countless long conversations about equipment, auctions, and life.
Don was a remarkable man, and I hope his memory brings comfort and strength to his family and friends.

I owe Don my career in dump trucking and rock quarries. He gave me my first job driving dump truck which led to a fabulous career in the industry. He believed in me and I flourished till retirement. I recently reconnected with him but was unfortunately unable to meet up with him before he passed. He was such a wonderful heart filled person, he will be truly missed!
To one of my second Dads: I have know and adored you most of my life. You always treated me like one of your own, and that meant the world to me. May you rest easy in His grace. You will always be remembered fondly. Much love,
