Donald Jerome Kienlen's Obituary
Donald Jerome Kienlen passed away at a local Portland hospital on June 11th; he was 78 years of age.
Don was born May 9, 1934 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Arthur John and Agnes Zollner Kienlen, the youngest of three sons. Raised in Idaho, he later moved to work in Spokane. He next worked construction on dams on the Columbia. He worked until his retirement from the Northwest Aluminum plant.
On April 19, 1958 he married Bonnie Granger and from this marriage have three children. Bonnie preceded him in death in 2008. He lived most of his life in The Dalles from 1961 to the present.
Don was a member of the Eagles Lodge, the Masons, the community bowling league in The Dalles and was active with little league when the children were in school. He also volunteered for many years with the Windy River Gleaner's.
Don is survived by his children, Tammy Kienlen-Duman of Montana City, Montana; her husband Mike and children Alex and Mitchell, Brian Kienlen of Scappoose, Oregon; his wife Ronda and children Marcus and Jacob, and Jeff Kienlen of The Dalles, Oregon; his wife Jill and children Blake and Mason.
