Donald Lemoine Morton's Obituary
Donald L. Morton passed away on Sunday, November 24th,2024 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland, Oregon, at the age of 87.
He was born on November 19th, 1937, in Rocksprings, Wyoming, and his family moved to Portland in 1941.
Donald was preceded in death by his father Ed, mother Velma, and his sisters Leslie and Shirley.
Donald graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1957 where he met the love of his life Joyce. They were married on December 21st, 1958, in Vancouver, Washington.
Donald went into the US Navy in 1955. He served four years as a first class personnelman to the ship Captain. Don was honorably discharged in 1961. Don then enlisted in the Naval Reserves, serving over 20 years.
At the age of 18 he worked as a lineman in Montana. Don went on to work much of his adult life at Taylor Electric Supply Company in Portland, Oregon.
Donald was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting and golfing.
He was loved by all for his, wonderful sense of humor, and his willingness to always lend a helping hand.
Don will be sorely missed by all his family and friends. In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his daughters; Denise, and Jana, and Kathy. As well as six grandchildren; Kaila, Kai’Cee, Joshua, Devin, Jo’Cee, and Dane. And four great grandchildren, Korra, Carter, Ronnie, Nixon and Niece Melissa and many others.
There will be no service at this time.
