Donald Robert Williams' Obituary
Donald Robert Williams was born on July 7, 1940 in Camas, WA. to Floyd & Luella Stroud Williams, one of seven children.
He died a the Portland VA Hospital on December 27, 2009 at the age of 69.
After graduating from Camas High School in the Class of 1958 he attended George Fox College in Newberg, OR. before working several jobs prior to enlisting in the Army for which he served on tour of duty during the Vietnam War.
Donald retired after 23 years with the Burlington Northern Railroad. He went on to serve his community and fellow man as he quietly served God. He was active in the local alcohol and drug planning committee also serving as chairman of the state hospitals committee. He was very active in serving Oregon state alcohol recovery programs and many years of service with local twelve step recovery programs.
Although his relationship with God was private, its foundation was solid and showed in the way hhe lived his life and loved his family.
Donald is survived by his loving wife: Lila Williams, six stepchildren and grandchildren; Kenneth, LaDonna, Katy, Casey, Jeffry, Andrew, Benjamin, Katelyn, Miranda, Michael, Grayson, and Jase; 2 uncles and numerous nieces & nephews, all cherished.
