Donald W. Travis' Obituary
Donald W. Travis was born on April 10, 1931 in Portland, Oregon to Louis & Ida Hansen Travis.
He died at his home in St. Helens on July 11, 2010 at the age of 79.
Donald moved to Scappoose attended schools and graduated from Scappoose High School in 1949. He lived the majority of his life in the area with the exception of a few years in Washington and California.
He worked in maintenance at a pre-school and church, also was a bus driver and cook.
Donald was a member of Morning Star Worship Center Church in Scappoose and the American Legion.
He enjoyed gardening, church and help working on cars.
Survivors include: Siblings: Edith Forcier of Scappoose; Carl Travis of Seattle, WA.; Kenneth Travis of Boston, MA.; Stepchildren: Ralph Justice of Vancouver, WA.; Pat & Marshall Justice; both of Portland; 4 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, aunts & uncles.
Funeral Service: Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Columbia Funeral Home
Committal service & interment: Willamette National Cemetery-Portland, OR.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Morning Star Worship Center.
