Donna Eileen Dahl
Donna Eileen (DeVin) Dahl passed away December 29, 2014 in St. Helens. She was born on September 7, 1928 in St. Helens Oregon and lived here her entire life. She was the youngest of three daughters of Frances & Leo DeVin. She attended school here and worked for a time at the bag factory for St. Helens Pulp and Paper.
She married John Dahl on January 3, 1947 in Vancouver, Washington. They were married for 56 years until his death in 2003.
Donna was an avid bowler and bowled on three leagues for many years until health problems forced her to quit. She still enjoyed going to the bowling alley to cheer for her favorite teams. She was also an avid Portland Winterhawks Hockey fan.
In addition to her husband, John, she was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters Helen and Alida and her beloved daughter Diane Allen who passed away on September 14, 2014.
Donna's greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. She is survived by daughter Patricia Maxson and her husband Bob of Lopez Island, Washington and son Michael Dahl and his wife Suzie of Warren, Oregon, along with 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
A service honoring her life will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Columbia Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Columbia Memorial Gardens next to her husband John.
