Donna Mae Thorp's Obituary
Donna Mae Thorp was born on March 1, 1932 in St. Helens, Oregon to Earl & Mildred Mace Lattin.
She died at her home in Columbia City, Oregon on August 5, 2008 at the age of 76.
Donna was educated in Portland, graduating from Cleveland High in 1950.
She went on to marry James on September28, 1951 in White Salmon, WA.
Her grandparents Jack & Ada McAllister raised Donna and most of her adult life has lived in the area.
She was raised in the Methodist denomination and her hobbies included oil painting, knitting, and painting ornaments to help pay for Christmas presents.
Donna started, was president, and very active with the C.A.R.C. Columbia Co. Assoc. of retarded children. She was also a member of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include: Husband-James of Columbia City; Children: Susan Matzen of Warren; Bonnie Farmer of Scappoose; James R. Thorp of Columbia City; Byron Thorp of Oregon City; Sisters: Shirley Langsea of Seattle; Jeanine Schuebert of Portland; her very close twin sister: Delores Ann Morris-preceded her in death; 3 grandchildren: Christy, Rusty, Alison; 6 great grandchildren, nieces & nephews.
Viewing & Visitation: 1-5 Thursday at Columbia Funeral Home
