Donovan Anthony Wood's Obituary
Donovan Anthony Wood was born on November 9, 1996, in Portland, Oregon. He passed away on May 2, 2023, at 26 years of age.
Donovan was the youngest of triplets, as well as the 'baby' brother to 3 sisters. He idolized his big sissy and as an adult he said she was his 'rock'. He loved his sisters Corinne and Clorissa and would tease that he loved them but didn’t like them because they would do 'girl' things without him. It was so funny!
It was not always easy for him in a house full of girls, so we would make up all kinds of stuff that was outrageously silly and it helped him through some emotional times. Donovan was smart, funny, artistic, sarcastic, goofy, temperamental, loving, and outspoken.
He expressed himself through music and poetry. He wrote a lot of really good lyrics in his journal and wanted to record his own songs or meet T-Pain and have him critique at least 1 song. Donovan could have rapped his own songs; they were that good. He was naturally gifted.
Donovan you will always be loved and deeply missed but never will you be forgotten. May you be content and peaceful-minded now, keeping your Poppa company and playing chess or the many other games you loved playing.
Donovan’s surviving family are his mom, Tammy; his dad, Bill Brooks; his sisters Felichia Wood and her family, Corinne Wood, and Clorissa Wood; his grammy Kim Smith; his uncle Tom Wood and his family, and various other loved ones as well.
