Doreen Dorothy “Dode” Davis

Doreen Dorothy “Dode” Davis of Scappoose passed away on January 6, 2016 of natural causes at the age of 85.
Mrs. Davis was born January 21, 1930 in Saskatchewan, Canada. She moved to the U.S. in 1959 when she married her husband Oren Don Davis whom preceded her in death in March of 2001 after 42 years of marriage. They lived in Portland then Gresham for 30 years before settling in Scappoose in 1993. She worked as a licensed practical nurse who worked in several long term care facilities and took great pride in helping others.
She was a founding member of the SEA RAY Boat Club and loved life on the river. An avid gardener she also loved to knit, crochet and read. She was also a member of the St. Helens ELKS Lodge and the Warren Moose Lodge.
Mrs. Davis is survived by her daughter Lisa Polzel (Davis), son in law Randy Polzel of Hillsboro, son Donald Davis, daughter in law Crystal Davis, two grandchildren Elizabeth and Matthew, her great granddaughter AnnaLynn of Scappoose and her sister Beverly Fontaine of Kelowna B.C.
A private inurnment will be held at Columbia Memorial Gardens and a memorial service will be held at the Warren Moose Lodge on January 21, 2016 from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM.
