Doris May Wallis' Obituary
Doris May Wallis was born on April 16, 1914 in Ward, Ohio to Emory & Ida Blair Eaton.
She died in a Portland hospital on January 30, 2004 at the age of 89.
She was educated in Ohio, left school at a young age to help put her sister thru school.
Moved to the McNulty area at the age of 16 then to Warren and St. Helens until present.
She worked at the Bag Factory, Town Talk Cafe, Warren Drive-in, Warren School, and her last occupation was a cook at the St. Helens Senior Center.
Married to Harry in Stevenson, WA. on February 25, 1935. He preceded her in death in Feb. of 1991.
Member of Bethany Lutheran Church-active in the quilt fair. She was voted Business Professional Woman in 1991. Her interests included baking lemon pies, cookies, rye bread. These were delivered by her kids as christmas baskets every year. The house always smelled like fresh bread.
Survivors include: Son: Ray Wallis of Columbia City, OR.; Daughter: Linda Johnson-Mueller of St. Helens, OR.; 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren.
Viewing & Visitation: Mon. 12-7, Tues. 9-12
Graveside service & Vault interment: Bethany Memorial Cemetery-Warren, OR.; Tues. 2/3/04 at 2:00 PM
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Helens Senior Center.
