Dormilee Ann Akers' Obituary
Dormilee A. Akers, age 64, was born December 27, 1953 to Gene & Dovie (White) Petite in St. Helens, OR. Dorma grew up in St Helens, OR, graduating from St Helens high school in 1972. On April 23, 1973 Dorma married her true love, David L. Akers. Through the years, Dorma was a dedicated housewife and lived for her family. She enjoyed shopping, spending time with her companion animal, Copper, and watching her grandchildren grow up. Dormilee passed away in her home, surrounded by family December 3, 2018. Dormilee left a mark on everyone’s heart she met and will be deeply missed. She is proceeded in death by her husband David L. Akers, sister Cathy Cullen, and sister Doreen Banuelos. She is survived by her children; Shannon (Akers) Townsend and Nicholas Akers, grandchildren James Pickens, Cedrik Cox, and Ailaa (Cox) Brandhorst, Jordan, Sahara, and Madison Akers, along with great grandchildren Liam and Paisley Pickens, Elizibeth and Charlotte Brandhorst, and Aubrianna Cox. Dormilee’s celebration of life will be held January 3, 2019 @12PM at Alston Corner Assembly Church in Rainier, OR. Please come share a story and a smile about the life Dormilee lived.
