Dorothy Emma Johnson was born on December 1, 1921 in Snyder, NE. to Alva E. & Emma P. Klintworth Brown.
She died on February 17, 2004 at a Portland hospital at the age of 82.
She moved to Scappoose from Nebraska in 1937 in an automobile. She attended and graduated from Scappoose Hi in 1941, on August 20, 1942 in Vancouver, WA. she married William Johnson.
She worked at West Coast Shoe Co., was a kindergarden teacher, an elementary school cafeteria cook, and from 64-77 they owned the Florence Auto Park in Scappoose, OR.
She was a life member of Grace Lutheran Church in Scappoose, OR. Her interests included her vegetable garden and her pet dog ''Rusty''.
Survivors include: Husband: William Johnson; Son: Richard Johnson both of Scappoose, OR.; Siblings: Gladys Callahan of Scappoose, OR.; Pauline Ball of N. Plains, OR., Alva Brown, Jr. of Sublimity, OR.; 3 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren.
Celebration of Life: Friday 2/20/04 at 3:00 PM at Grace Lutheran Church-Scappoose, OR.
Private interment: Fairview Cemetery-Scappoose, OR.
