Dorothy was my host Mom for a year in 1980-1. John and Dorothy welcomed me into their family and home with wide open arms. Dorothy was full of love, generosity and fun and I learnt many life lessons from her - good cooking, acceptance, tolerance, tenacity, importance of community and of course love. I’m forever grateful to Dorothy. With her passing I send my deepest condolences to the entire Hobizal clan but especially to Annie, Pat and Julie, Phil and Patty, Larry and Trudy and Ray and Rhonda. So sorry to hear about Dorothy‘s passing. Good school bus drivers are hard to find and Dorothy was one of the very best. She was personable and interacted with the kids in a very positive manner. She seemed to genuinely enjoy her work. Looking back, I think it was more of a ministry than a job. RIP Dorothy. Thanks for your service to the kids and families in Scappoose.
