Dorothy I. Hulsopple's Obituary
Dorothy I. Hulsopple was born on April 5, 1921 in Alderson, Oklahoma to Emanuel & Lydia Condry Painter.
She died at a Portland hospital on November 4, 2009 at the age of 88.
She attended schools in McAlester, Oklahoma then went on to marry J.D. Flynn on October 7, 1939 in McAlester, OK. He preceded her in death in 1976. On December 16, 1976 she married Thomas Hulsopple in Scappoose, OR. he also preceded her in death in 1994.
Dorothy lived in San Diego, CA. until moving to Rainier in 1969 then to St. Helens until present.
While living in San Diego she was a seamstress for lingerie and mens clothing, retiring in 1969 when she moved to Rainier.
Her interest included sewing, quilting and garage sales.

Survivors include: Children: Carrol Pahkamaa of Rainier; Bonnie Dunn of Castle Rock, WA.; Stepsons: Harold Hulsopple of Scappoose; Robert Hulsopple of St. Helens; Siblings: Richard Painter of Bend, OR.; Evelyn Polk of McAlester, OK.; Sue Moody of Marshall, OK.; 4 grandchildren; 9 stepgrandchildren; numerous great grandchildren. Preceded in death by son: James Flynn in 2000 and stepson: Thomas Hulsopple in 2003.
Celebration of Life: Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Columbia Funeral Home
Committal service & interment: Columbia Memorial Gardens Cemetery-Scappoose.
