Dorothy Jean Barger was born on September 16, 1925 in St. Helens, OR. to Millard & Martha McCauley Calhoun.
She died at a Hillsboro care facility on June 15, 2012 at the age of 86.
Dorothy was a 1943 graduate of St. Helens High School and attended the University of Oregon and the Northwestern College of Business. She was a clerk at the Columbia Co. Assessors Office.
Married to Jack Barger in St. Helens on July 3, 1948, married for 47 years. He preceded her in death in 1995.
She lived in St. Helens for 80 years, moving to Hillsboro in 2005. She attended Plymouth Presbyterian Church in St. Helens and Tualatin Plains Presbyterian Church in Hillsboro.
Survivors include: Children: Janet Hopson of Hillsboro; Gary Barger of Tillamook; Brother: Millard "Cal" Calhoun of St. Helens; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.
Graveside service & Vault Interment: Bethany Memorial Cemetery-Warren, OR. on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 1:00 PM.
