Dorothy Jean Brodala's Obituary
Dorothy Jean Brodala was born in Portland, Oregon on March 30, 1949 to Donald & Ruth Nelson.
She died at a Portland hospital on December 3, 2006 at the age of 57.
Dorothy attended and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1967. She went on to beauty school in Portland and later completed a course as a certified veterinary assistant.
She married Rocky Brodala on December 27, 1969 in Portland and they moved to Scappoose in 1971 until present.
Growing up she attended the Chapman Community Church. She was a homemaker, a mother and a grandmother who enjoyed arts and crafts and beads. She made homemade christmas cards and presents.
Survivors include: Father: Donald Nelson, Jr. of Prineville, OR.; Husband: Rocky Brodala; Sons: Rod, Stan, Jason & Shawn Brodala all of Scappoose, OR.; Siblings Donald Nelson III of Portland, OR.
Chris Nelson of Gulf Port, Mississippi; 13 grandchildren, numerous nieces & nephews and several kitties. She was preceded in death by her Mother: Ruth J. Nelson in '98. Brother: William Nelson in '78.
