Dorothy L. Churchill's Obituary
Dorothy L. Churchill was born on November 29, 1927 in San Bernardino, CA. to Harold & Dorothy Bennett Jordan.
She died in a Portland hospital on July 7, 2011 at the age of 83.
Dorothy attended Grant High School, she met and married Richard in Vancouver, WA. on January 1, 1949.
They moved to Scappoose from Portland on June 26, 1956.
She was the superintendant for the Columbia County seniors transportation now known as COLCO. She retired in 1998.
Dorothy was a Christian who worked for seniors and enjoyed making flower bouquets for seniors and birthdays. She started the summer recreation program in Scappoose.
Survivors include: Husband: Richard Churchill, Sr. of Scappoose; Son: Richard Churchill, Jr. of Portland; Siblings: Harold Jordan of Portland; Sally Pederson of Corvallis, OR.; 2 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
Viewing & Visitation: 4-8 Wednesday at Columbia Funeral Home
Graveside service & vault interment: Columbia Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Thursday, July 14, 2011 at 2:00 PM
