Dorothy Olson's Obituary
Dorothy Olson was born in the summer on August 4, 1922 in Portland, Oregon. Her parents were Lillian Paulson and Jack Gillis. She died in Portland on June 10 at the age of 82.
Dorothy moved to St. Helens in 1942 when she fell in love and married Jack Olson. Together they made a good life. Dorothy enjoyed being a stay at home mom for their five children.
Every winter Dorothy and Jack would pack up and head for Phoenix. Her last trip being just this past year. Dorothy was a devoted Baptist, spent lots of time in her garden and enjoyed being with the grandchildren.
Dorothy is survived by her husband Jack of St. Helens; daughters, Diana Moore of St. Helens, and Debbie Olson of Oregon City; sons: Dan of Ocean Park, WA, Dale of Oregon City, OR, and Douglas of Rapid City, WI.; Sisters: Lenora Anderson or Oregon City and Violet VanBuskirk of Portland, OR. 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be on Wednesday at 1:00 pm at Columbia Memorial Gardens in Scappoose. A reception will follow at Columbia Tribute Center in St. Helens, OR.
