Douglas Carter Miller was born on January 17, 1953 in Salinas, CA. to Floyd & Mont Elizabeth Scott Miller.
He died at a Portland hospital on August 11, 2006 at the age of 53.
He was educated and graduated in 1971 from Wilcox High School in Santa Clara, CA. He moved to Scappoose from Santa Clara 28 years ago.
He worked for 28 years for Siltronics Company as a materials manager.
Douglas married Debra Oudean on October 24, 1998 in Scappoose, OR.
He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and very active in Scappoose Little League-president, coach and umpire. His interests were Little League and he was a Civil War buff-enjoyed reading about it and memorabilia from it.
Survivors include: Father Bill Morrison of Prescott, AZ.; Wife-Debra Miller of Scappoose; Children: Kirk Miller of Pleasant Hill, OR.; Danylle Miller of Livermore, CA.; Scott Miller of Scappoose; Serena Miller of Clearwater, FL.; Carter Miller of Scappoose; Siblings: Candy Lawson of Goodyear, AZ. Betty Stenzel of Vacaville, CA.; Sam Miller of Ukiah, CA.; Karla Jackson of Seattle, WA.; Greg Miller-preceded him in death in 2003.; 4 grandchildren.
Viewing & Visitation: 9-5 Thursday at Columbia Funeral Home
Funeral Service: Friday, 8/18/06 at 2:00 PM at Grace Lutheran Church-Scappoose, OR.
Committal service & vault interment: Fairview Cemetery-Scappoose, OR.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent Hospital.
