Douglas M. Foley's Obituary
Douglas M. Foley was born on February 28, 1913 in Waverly, W. Virginia to & Ora Ross Foley.
He died at his home in St. Helens on March 9, 2007 at the age of 94.
He attended schools and received a football scholarship to play at the University of W. Virginia, while attending he played tackle at a Sunbowl game and was president of his fraternity. He later graduated with a Masters Degree.
He married Frances Coleman on November 9, 1938 in Williamson, W. Virginia.
He was a farmer for most of his life. For 15 years he worked as a water pollution control inspector for the State of W. Virginia, retiring in 1983. After retirement they moved to N. Carolina and then to St. Helens in 1999 until present.
He was a member of the Presbyterian denomination in W. Virginia. He enjoyed following sports and researching the technical aspects of various things.
Survivors include: Wife: Frances of St. Helens; Children: Douglas Foley of Portland; Jack Foley of St. Helens; Elaine Kapinos of Vancouver, WA.; 7 grandchildren 7 great -grandchildren.
