Bill and I met Duane thru boating on the Channel. He would stop by our riverhouse and we enjoyed his company immensely; always so jovial!!! May the family have solace knowing that he touched so many lives in a positive fashion. It was truly a gift to have called him a friend. RIP Duane and to his family and friends--blessings....

I loved Duane's zest for life, he was such a wonderful friend and a true friend to all that he knew. I will surely miss him. Prayers to his family. I know that he will always be with us in spirit.
Went to high school with Duane, he easily had the brightest soul of anyone I've ever known. Never saw him without a smile. He always dwelled on happiness. I have enjoyed several conversations we had over the years at our class reunions. RIP Big D, you will be missed but never forgotten.

My thoughts go out to the family members and all his friends. He was a great guy and he was a good friend to me though out the years. I have so many memories with him around the river and helping with the fireworks and the streets dance we did helping raise money for the fireworks. If you need help you could count on Big D. He help me out showing me how to run are tugboat we used to have. The river is not going be the same without him out there 😢.
