Dwayne - Buerke's Obituary
Dwayne Buerke was born on April 1, 1931 in Willman, Minn. to Henry & Thersa Teicher Buerke.
He died at a Potland hospital on January 17, 2006 at the age of 74.
He attended schools in Minnesota, he was in the Air Force from July of 1955 to July of 1959.
He married Sally on October 1, 1955 in Spokane, WA., she preceded him in death in 1996.
They lived in Fairview when they first moved to Oregon, moving to Hillsboro and St. Helens in 1958.
He worked for Owen-Corning prior-Kaiser-Gypsum for 27 years. His last occupation was custodian for the St. Helens middle school retiring in 1997.
He was a member of Plymouth Presbyterian Church, early on he worked and cleaned the church. He helped in the construction and reconstruction after the fire of Hutchison Hall dedicated in 1979 and rededicated in 1985.
Survivors include: Children: Tina & David Moorman of Tacoma, WA.; Terry & Wendy Buerke; Tammie Buerke; Trudy & Ross Scheuermann all of St. Helens, OR.; Sister-in-law: Mary Buerke of Hillsboro; Brother-In-law: Robert Eisenrich of St. Cloud, Minn.; 10 grandchildren: Cheryl & Brad Moorman of Tacoma, WA.; Jared & Courtney Buerke of St. Helens; Toni, Brandon, Amy, Chris, Jack Scheurmann all of St. Helens; 2 great grandchildren;Alyssia Scheurmann & Aiden Hanson of Tacoma, WA.
Viewing & Visitation: 9-5 Saturday; 1-4 Sunday; 9-11 Monday at Columbia Funeral Home
Funeral Service: Monday; January 23, 2006 at 1:00 PM at Plymouth Presbyterian Church
Committal service & vault interment; Columbia Memorial Gardens-Scappoose, OR.
Memorial contributions may be made to Plymouth Presbyterian Church Building Fund.
