Edna L. Hald's Obituary
Edna L. "Lea" Hald was born on February 15, 1913 in St. Helens, Oregon to William & Jeanette Curtain Brannan.
She died at a adult assisted living center in Hillsboro, OR. on December 31, 2010 at the age of 97.
Edna attended school in and around St. Helens area and lived here all of her life with the exception of the 2 years she lived in Sandpoint, Idaho during WWII to be near her husband sho was stationed at Farragut, Idaho Navy training station. She married Richard E. Rex Hald on June 25, 1940, he preceded her in death on November 12, 1983.
She was a homemaker and a member of First Christian Church and AARP. She enjoyed gardening, working with her flowers, reading traveling and watching sports on TV. She raised and loved her 3 little cocker spaniels, Buffy, Sammy and Ginger.
Survivors include: Nieces & Nephews: Janice Johnson; Doris Heimuller; both of St. Helens; Bob Hald of Woodburn, OR.; Brent MacTaggart of Tigard, OR.; Leah Kirtland of Portland; Clarence Hald of St. Helens; Good Friend: Tanya Schroeder of St. Helens; Preceded in death by her husband in 1983 and her son Richard in 2009.
Funeral Service: Friday, January 7, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Columbia Funeral Home-St. Helens
Private Vault Interment: Bethany Memorial Cemetery-Warren, OR.
