Edward C. Johnson's Obituary
Edward C. Johnson was born on December 22, 1923 in Chicago, Illinois to Leon & EllaKuschela Johnson.
He died at his home in St. Helens on November 18, 2006 at the age of 83.
He was educated in Chicago, graduating in 1941. He married Joyce Beth DuHaime in Chicago on April 21, 1943. He went into the Navy on April 23, 1943 serving on the USS Pensacola and served until December 8, 1945 being discharged in Shoemaker, CA.
On December 7, 1945 they moved to St. Helens and have lived here since.
He worked for Boise Cascade for 37 years, retiring in 1982.
He was a member of St. Frederic Catholic Church and early on in the Knights of Columbus and the Elks Lodge.
His enjoyments included camping and traveling.
Survivors include: With Joyce Beth Johnson & daughter: Rose Winkles both of St. Helens; 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren. A son Martin Johnson preceded him in death in 2001.

Recitation of the Rosary: 7:00 PM Tuesday both at Columbia Funeral Home
Mass of Christian Burial: Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at 2:00 PM at St. Frederic Catholic Church-St. Helens
Committal service & vault interment: Columbia Memorial Gardens-Scappoose, OR.
