Elizabeth Jane Bowers' Obituary
Betty Bowers of St. Helens Oregon passed away at the age of 87 at her residence at Avamere. Betty was born May 25th 1930 in Winthrop Washington, later living in Portland Oregon and then moving to the Scappoose St. Helens area in 1968.
Betty was a Homemaker as well as Bank Teller but spent much of her time Volunteering at Rose Valley and Meadow Park. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, flowers, and birdwatching. Betty was a singer with the Sweet Adelines and was also a Resident Ambassador at Avamere.
Betty was predeceased by her husband Donald Bowers, and her brothers Orville and Phillip Englar. She is survived by her brother Vic Englar and his wife Linda, her sons Doug and Ron as well as his wife Robin, and her granddaughter Jennifer. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday April 14th at 2pm at Avamere in St. Helens and she is to be interred at Willamette National Cemetery. Donations may be made to Legacy Hospice.
