Elizabeth “Steppie” Gertrude Miller

Elizabeth “Steppie” Miller of Scappoose, Oregon passed away at her home on June 28, 2016. She was born May 12, 1926 to Charles and Addie (Cole) Stepp in Topeka, Kansas.
During her childhood her family moved to the Portland area where Steppie attended Couch Grammar School and graduated from Jefferson High in 1944. During high school she worked with her father as a photofinisher and shortly after graduation on June 24, 1944 she married Harold F. Miller who later died in May of 2010.
Harold and Steppie lived in Yreka, California briefly where they owned their own business and she kept the books. In 1961 they moved back to Oregon and settled in Scappoose.
She was a member of Warren Community Fellowship where she enjoyed Bible Study and volunteering for the bulletins on Thursday mornings. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles and traveling, she and Harold made annual trips to Hawaii after he retired and she really loved eating out at restaurants.
Steppie is survived by her daughter Sandra and her son Rod, a grandson Geoff and his wife Angie and their 3 children Tyson, Alexis and Xander. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold.
A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at 10:30 am at Warren Community Fellowship.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the church missionary fund at Warren Community Fellowship or a charity of one’s choice.
