Elizabeth R. Tappert's Obituary
Elizabeth Regina Tappert was born on May 25, 1929 in Axtell, Kansas to Leo J. & Estella G. Alfers Broxterman.
She died at home in St. Helens, Oregon on October 13, 2012 at the age of 83.
Elizabeth received her education in Kansas through the 9th grade and in 1984 she received her GED in Gresham, Oregon. She was always a mother first and master cook during her working life, retiring in 1987.
She met William Darrell F. Tappert on a blind date in Spokane, Washington and they were married on August 6, 1946 in Axtell, Kansas. They lived in Spokane, Washington until moving to Portland in 1955. He preceded her in death in January of 1992. In 2012 she moved to St. Helens.
Her interests included reading; crossword puzzles and the Tappert Family were her life.
Survivors include: 14 Children: Darrell, James, Robert, Terence, Timothy, Stephen, David, Mark, Matthew, Bartholomew Tappert, Annette Reasor, Yvette Thomas, Yvonne Rice, Jacqueline Collins. 6 Siblings: Leo J. Broxterman, Jr.; Robert Leroy Broxterman, Barbara Heiman, Mildred Bair, Margaret Cummings; and 67 Grandchildren, 78 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild to date. Yes... that totals 146 grandchildren
Rosary: 10:15 AM Saturday, October 20, 2012 and Mass at 11:00 AM at St. Frederic Catholic Church-St. Helens.
Committal Service & Vault Interment: Columbia Memorial Gardens-Scappoose, OR. At 1:30 PM
