Ellen S. Byers' Obituary
Ellen S. Byers was born on November 1, 1918 in Seattle, WA. to John & Lydia Paajanen Lindstrom.
She died on April 16, 2004 at a Portland Hospital at the age of 85.
She was raised and educated living on the Olympic Penninsula. She attended business college in Seattle, WA.
She married Ray in Port Angeles, WA. in 1939. He preceded her in death in 1989 just before their 50th wedding anniversary.
They lived on the Olympic Penninsula and in 1946 moved to Eugene, OR. and in 1994 came to Scappoose. Her work career included many different companies; first at Montgomery Ward, then secretary at Willamette High School; then Automatic Heat, and finally retiring from Lane County.
Ray and Ellen were life long members of the American Finnish Friends Society. She enjoyed reading and eating dinner out with friends.
Survived by her only daughter and son-in-law: Jayne & Gary Weis of Rainier, OR.; 3 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her two younger sisters.
Private family graveside service & vault interment: Mt. Angeles Memorial Park in Port Angeles, WA.
