Elsie M. Weatherby's Obituary
Elsie M. Weatherby was born on March 27, 1918 in Yankton, Oregon to Roy & Bernice Rathbun Webber.
She died at a care center in Milwaukie, Oregon on January 28, 2007 at the age of 88.
She attended school in St. Helens, Clark Co. WA. and graduated from St. Helens Hi in 1936.
After High School she worked at the Pentagon in Washington D.C. she later worked as an operator moving into customer service with Mountain Bell Telephone, retiring in 1980.
She married Frederick Kahlert in 1941 in St. Helens, they divorced and she married Firman Weatherby in 1951 in Yankton, OR., he preceded her in death in 1982.
She lived in Scappoose from 1961 until moving to St. Helens in 1980 until present.
Her enjoyments included Gardening & plants, oil painting, sewing, quilting and helping people.
Survivors include: Daughter: Susan Strejan of Gladstone, OR.; Brother: James Bennett of Warren, OR.; 2 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; numerous nieces & nephews.
