Elva Chamberlain's Obituary
Elva Chamberlain was born on April 4, 1921 in Reedsport, OR to Royal & Laura Thornton Miller.
She died at her home in Astoria, OR. on July 18, 2004 at the age of 80.
She attended some schooling in Albany and at age 7 moved to St. Helens, she graduated from Hi school in '39.
She married Bert Chamberlain in 1943 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. They lived in St. Helens until 1953 when they moved to Washington state and Astoria, then to Albany from 66-99 when she moved back to Astoria to be close to her son. Bert preceded her in death on July 5, 1996.
She was a homemaker, a caregiver, she worked at the childrens farm home in Corvallis for a time.
She enjoyed canning vegetables and fruits. She was a member of the Episcopalian denomination and enjoyed singing. She was a member of the American Legion Auxilary and the Elks where she played bingo at both.
Survived by: Son & daughter-in-law: Roy & Nancy Chamberlain of Astoria; 3 grandchildren.
Graveside service & Vault interment: Thursday, 7/22/04 at 3:00PM at Bethany Memorial Cemetery-Warren, OR.
