Emma Lou Waller August 25, 1936 ~ September 22, 2016
Emma Lou Waller was born in Brooklyn, Iowa to Wanda (Eaton) and George Montgomery on August 25, 1936.
Emma passed away on September 22, 2016 in St. Helens, Oregon.
She graduated from Brooklyn High School, she began her career working for The Des Moines Register, then worked for the Bureau of Land Management in Anchorage, Alaska. She then moved to Alameda, California and worked as Treasurer and Auditor for a large jewelry company in Oakland. She met Ed in Alameda and they were married in Reno, Nevada. Shortly thereafter they moved to Portland, Oregon where she was employed by US Bank and rose to the level of Vice President. Lou retired in 1993 and she and Ed moved to Layton, Utah then to Las Vegas, Nevada and then they settled down in Columbia City, Oregon.
She was active in several bowling leagues, enjoyed playing cards, traveling, crocheting, crossword puzzles, casinos, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She was dearly loved by her family and will be deeply missed. Heaven received a wonderful lady.
Lou is survived by her husband, Ed Waller, daughter Debra Goyen, son in law Kenneth Goyen, Grandsons Brant and Alex Weiche, nephews, Jack and Kyle Montgomery, nieces Marsha Maschman, Jo Gibbons and Valorie Bryant.
A Graveside Service will be held at Willamette National Cemetery on October 7, 2016 at 12:30pm.
