Emmet A. Balch was born on May 3, 1909 in Medford, OR. to Steven & Ira May McCallister Balch.
He died in Longview, WA. on February 25, 2004 at the age of 94.
He was married to Marcie, she preceded him in death in '73.
He lived in California for 40 years, Rockaway Beach for 1 year and Scappoose for the last 13 years.
He was in the Army during WWII.
He worked as an electrician for 43 years in California and Oregon, retiring in 1980. Member of the Electrician Local #180 in California.
He helped many of his friends and neighbors around the neighborhood.
Survivors include: Stepson: Walter G. Wallace of Modesto, CA.; Grandchildren: Barbara Hickman of Scappoose, Marcie Ellen Gonsolas, Susan Mote, Steven Wallace all of Modesto, CA.; 2 great-granddaughters Jennifer Hickman of Scappoose, Lindsey Gonsolas of Modesto, CA.; 2 great-grandsons.
