Obituary of Faith Elaine Coryell
Faith Coryell passed away April 11th at a Portland hospital. She was 72.
Funeral Services will be held, 11:00 AM, April 15th at Mill Park Baptist Church, 1730 Southeast 117th Avenue, Portland. Visitation Wednesday 10:00 am – 5:00 PM Gateway Little Chapel of the Chimes, 1515 Northeast 106th Avenue, Portland, OR.
Born October 15, 1937 at Gardner, Massachusetts to Arthur Raymond and Jean Bellavance Bowley, Faith was the eldest of four children, her brothers Arthur Jr., Glenn and Cliff. A few years later, the family moved west to the San Francisco Bay area where she graduated high school. Faith married young, and by the time she was 24, she had 3 sons and a daughter. Most of her life she was a homemaker, but during the years, she became a co-owner of a restaurant and hotel and later, a nursing home manager.
Faith married Manuel Eugene Silva in July 16, 1969. They had many happy years together before he passed January 10, 1991. She later married Harold Coryell on December 19, 1998, and, again, enjoyed many happy years together through the time of his passing on June 1, 2007.
Faith was a member of Mill Park Baptist Church, and it was there that she had many good friends and spiritual support.
She is survived by her children Larry, Tenny, Steve and Dan Silva; daughter Elizabeth Thomas. Grandchildren, Randi Bressel, Amy Povey, Angela Frost, Kilee Silva, Michael Thomas, Bruce Steward, Jamie Eichel & Amanda Silva; and numerous great grandchildren.
