Florence Larsen McDonald
Florence Larsen McDonald passed away at Spring Meadows Assisted Lining Center on June 8, 2008 at the age of 84.
She was born August 23, 1923 to Walter and Margaret Larsen. She attended Yankton and McBride elementary schools and St. Helens high school.
In 1950, she worked for Long's Variety. Florence retired in 1997 after working for twenty years as a Safeway meat wrapper.
She had man interests, family, traveling with the Elks Club, pinochle, Big Band music, dancing, sewing, the beach and clam digging. She was also member of The First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her sister Betty Beeler and her children Jerry Van Dolah and his wife Carol of Queen Valley, Arizona, Jeanette Mattson and her husband Delbert of St. Helens, grandchildren Kim Brady, Allison Ziemer, Stacy Ferguson, Robert VanDolah, Grant VanDolah, Kevin VanDolah, and eight great-grandchildren.
Florence was preceded I death by husband Ira McDonald in 2007, sister Dorothy Wright, and brother Edward Larsen.
A celebration of life will be held at the Columbia Tribute Center in St. Helens on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at 2:00 p.m.
