Floyd C. Leever's Obituary
Floyd C. Leever was born on May 31, 1919 in Vancouver, WA. to Floyd B. & Anna E. Melloy Leever.
He died at a Portland Hospital on April 2, 2004 at the age of 84.
He moved to Portland, OR. as an infant. He attended and graduated from Benson Hi in '39.
He was in the Army during WWII CCC's-Civilian Conservation Corp. His duties were to carry weapons, mainly the 155 cannon which weighed over 1/2 ton. He was also in the national guard.
In 1946 he moved to Goble, OR and 1952 to St. Helens, OR.
On December 25, 1952 he married Ernestine in St. Helens, OR., she preceded him in death in 2000.
He worked for Farney Trucking and as a crane operator for the Boise Paper Mill for 26 years, retiring in '83.
2 time commander and member of the VFW Post 4362, former member of the Elks, he enjoyed traveling, bowling and fishing. He volunteered 1200 hours at the VA hospital.
Survivors include: Sons: Richard Leever of St. Helens, OR.; Jerry Leever of Redmond, OR.; Brothers: Brick Leever of Kent, WA.; Gordon Leever of Rainier, OR.; 2 grandchildren; preceded in death by infant son-Rodney Leever; daughter: Earline Nagel in '85.

Funeral Service: Wednesday April 7, 2004 11:00 AM at 1st Christian Church-St. Helens, OR.
Committal service & interment: Willamette National Cemetery-Portland, OR.
