Frances J. Brasmer's Obituary
Frances J. Brasmer was born on January 5, 1922 in Butler, Tennessee to Edward & Carrie Williams Burchett.
She died on January 10, 2008 in a Portland hospital at the age of 86.
Frances was educated in Tennessee, moving to Longview, WA. at the age of 16. She married Albert Jones in 1940 and divorced in 1967. She married Paul Brasmer in August of 1968.
She moved to St. Helens in 1958 and has lived here all of her life.
They purchased the Workers Tavern in 1958, later named Fran's Tavern until she retired in 1980.
She was raised in the Baptist denomination and her enjoyments included family, grandkids, the beach and traveling.
Survivors include: Husband; Paul Brasmer of St. Helens; Children: Garlene Cooper Norman of St. Helens; Lynda Wilson David Johnston of Kalama, WA.; Stepchildren: Paulette Owsley of Idaho; Mary Jo Simpson of St. Helens; Bev Frieberg of Scappoose; Siblings: Dick Burchett of White Pine, TN.; Marie Fredrickson; Ruth Whiton both of Longview, WA.; Bernice McGomery of San Marcos, CA.; Pearl Behrends of Mesa, Arizona; 4 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; preceded in death by a granddaughter: Kym Wilson-'02; grandson: Bryan Wilson-'68.
