Franklin H. Johnson's Obituary
Franklin H. Johnson of St. Helens passed away on December 20, 2009 at the at the age of 64.
Frank was born in Longview, Washington on March 11, 1945 to Frank L. and Mildred A. Johnson; he was 1 of 6 children. The family moved to several locations in Oregon until coming to St. Helens where he graduated in 1963. He married Sharon Hart on August 12, 1967 at St. Frederic Catholic Church. From this marriage they have two sons; Matthew of Gresham, Oregon and Clifford of Portland, Oregon.
Frank worked at Boise Cascade for 43 ½ years, retiring in 2007. He held several offices with the AWPPW Union Local #1 for several years as President, Delegate and Recording Secretary, and was very active with the area council including serving as an Organizing Representative.
His wife; Sharon, and his two sons; Matthew and Cliff survive him. Frank is also survived by his sisters and brother: Barbara Korhonen of Vancouver, Washington, Sandy Harbison of St.Helens, Oregon, Michael Johnson of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Brenda Rhine of Beaverton, Oregon.
A Rosary and Funeral Mass was held on Saturday, December 26, 2009 at 10:30 AM at St. Frederic Catholic Church in St. Helens, Oregon. There was also a visitation on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at Columbia Funeral Home in St. Helens, Oregon.
