Freda Martha Fox's Obituary
Freda M. Fox of Woodburn, Oregon passed away December 30, 2022 at the age of 87. Freda was born March 3, 1935 in Stigler, Oklahoma to Elbert and Guyeula (Chastain) Dudley. The family came out west when Freda was 14. They lived in Corvallis for a few years before moving to Eddyville. She graduated from Eddyville High School in 1953.
Freda met Gerald Fox and they were married in Corvallis, Oregon on July 3,1959. They lived in Oregon City for years while Freda worked as a secretary for New Life Church in West Linn, after 29 years she retired. She and Gerald relocated to Woodburn in 2000 where she became a member of Hoodview Church of God. Freda liked to do crafts, traveling with Gerald and she volunteered at Silverton Hospital. Her favorite thing was being around people and being social.
Freda is survived by her son Bradley Fox and daughter Julie Hinkle, a granddaughter Ashley DeHaven and her husband Dustin and their children Paisley and Parker. She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald Fox and her siblings, sister Christine Fletcher and brother Jerry Dudley.
A memorial service will be held at Hoodview Church of God in Woodburn, Oregon, Saturday, January 14, at 2 p.m.
