On Saturday, August 26, 2006, Fritz H. Sorber passed away at home in the company of his loving family. He waged a brave six year battle with multiple myeloma. After several jobs, his calling was civil service as a local police officer for 21 years, attaining lieutenant status. He transferred to the St. Helens City Shop in 1990. Retiring in 1998, he pursued his love of clock and watch repair until health reasons stopped him in May of 2006.
