Gayle Ann Harper's Obituary
Gayle Ann Harper of Scappoose, Oregon died June 26, 2024, at the age of 76. Gayle was born October 12, 1947, in Billings, Montana to Roy and Marie (Puhlman) Rushfeldt. In 1962 Gayle and her family moved out to Oregon where Gayle finished high school, graduating with the class of 1965 from Hillsboro Union High School.
Gayle married Gene Harper on September 3, 1971, they were married for 22 years before his passing in 1993. They lived in St. Helens for many years, she was a homemaker and she started up her own frame shop that she owned and operated in Scappoose as well. In 1996 Gayle moved to Yuma, Arizona, she lived down there until moving back to Montana in 2007. In 2024 she came back to Scappoose where she lived for a short time until her death. Gayle enjoyed needle point, crocheting, and computer games.
She is survived by her two sons Jeff and Casey, five grandchildren: Brianna Harper, Kara Harper, Dawn Harper, Marina Anderson, and Mikayla Anderson, one great grandchild Mattie and her two cousins Joyce Bussard and Terri Moore. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a daughter, 3 brothers, and 1 sister.
