Gaylen “Joyce” Sands
August 30, 1948 ~ September 26, 2015
Gaylen Joyce Sands was born in Fresno, California, on August 30, 1948. She moved to Oregon in 1972 and married the love of her life, Steven D. Sands, on September 28, 1979. She enjoyed camping, scrapbooking, jewelry making and countless Sunday dinners with family and friends.
Joyce was the mother of five girls Tammy, Lisa, Carrie, Stephanie and Anita.
She had seven siblings Jimmy Joe, Minnie, Ramona, Sheila, Roman, Bill and John.
Joyce was blessed with 17 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, along with a very large extended family.
She passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, September 26, 2015.
A Celebration of Life for Joyce will be held on October 10, 2015 at the
Saint Helens Elks lodge located at:
350 Belton Road
St. Helens, OR 97051.
